Trailer for Animal: Bobby Deol and Ranbir Kapoor deliver a bloody, sinister tale of retaliation

Animal trailer: Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol bring a violent, dark saga of revenge

"Animal," which co-stars Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor, is scheduled for theatrical release on December 1.
On Thursday, the producers of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's eagerly awaited action drama Animal unveiled the trailer.
Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor play father and son in this brutal criminal drama. In contrast to Ranbir, Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead, and Bobby Deol plays the major adversary who eats up the scenery.

According to the teaser, Ranbir plays Arjun, a wealthy and well-sheltered brat who grows up trying to win over his father, the billionaire Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor). Arjun is both terrified by Balbir's emotional unavailability and in awe of him at the same time. When Arjun goes back to his family years later, this knot of emotions festers into something sinister and perilous. He is now married to Geetanjali (Mandanna), who calls her husband's uncritical love for his father insane. When Balbir is shot by unknown attackers and suffers grave injuries on the Arjun leaves the golf field and goes on a murderous rampage that leads him to Bobby Deol's silent opponent.

The graphic and violent scenes in the trailer for Animal are not held back, and one particularly striking image shows Ranbir riding a Gatling machine. Vanga's most recent Hindi movie, Kabir Singh (2019), which was a commercial success and a replica of his own Telugu film Arjun Reddy (2017), defied critics who said it promoted toxic masculinity and misogyny. The director had promised in an interview at the time that Animal would be more violent than his last picture. The director had promised, "I will show (the critics) what a violent film will be."

With dialogue by Saurabh Gupta, Animal was written by Vanga, his older brother Pranay Reddy Vanga, and Suresh Bandaru. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the movie a certificate of "A" (for adults only). Cine1 Studios, Bhadrakali Pictures, and T-Series Films are the producers.

The cast of Animal also includes Tripti Dimri, Suresh Oberoi, Siddhant Karnick, Prem Chopra, and Shakti Kapoor.  Seven songs, written by Pritam, JAM8, Vishal Mishra, Jaani, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, and others, are featured in the movie in various versions. It was composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar. Because post-production was still pending, the movie's original release date was pushed back.

Animal, which has a lengthy 3 hours and 21 minutes, will be released in theatres in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada and Malayalam.
